Jarred Sullivan Ashburton Investments

Jarred joined Ashburton Investments near the end of 2020 from FNB where he was an economist. As a multi-asset expert, he has a wide range of expertise including equities, fixed income, currency, cash reserves, global and local outlooks. Owing to his in-depth global and local macro-economic research, has published multiple economic articles. He also sat on the FirstRand Macro Forum Committee to formulate the house view and worked closely with the FNB Wealth and Investment team. Jarred began his career as a Financial Services Sector Analyst at Genesis Analytics in 2015. He holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and is a CFA charterholder. Recently, he also obtained a Certification in Quantitative Finance (CQF). 

Albert Botha Ashburton Investments

Albert Botha is the Head of Fixed Income at Ashburton Investments since 2017. With almost two decades of experience in financial markets, he manages the Fixed Income team and the investment process. He is responsible for several portfolios across various asset classes in the emerging and developed markets space. During his tenure, the fixed income business has grown more than tenfold to almost R60bn. Albert holds a BCom degree (Stellenbosch) and is an Associate Actuary (AIA).  He enjoys reading, cooking, and savouring a good meal paired with a great bottle of wine. Curiosity has always been a core trait of his personality and he loves learning things, whether is it new ideas in portfolio management or how whisky is made.  Albert has been married for over a decade and new and interesting gadgets are his weakness.  His wife has banned him from buying new books, so his Kindle gets used frequently.

Kathy Davey Ashburton Investments

Kathy covers global equities for Ashburton’s International team. She joined the team in South Africa in 2013 as an Equity Research Analyst for the African Equity Opportunities Fund, having moved home from the UK in 2010. Kathy has experience covering listed Pan-European retail stocks and South African listed retail sector. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Commerce (IT and accounting) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, a Masters of Professional Accounting from the University of Southern Queensland, and is a CFA charterholder.

Navin Lala Ashburton Investments

Navin joined Ashburton Investments as Head of Institutional Distribution in 2015 and, subsequently joined the Fund Solutions team where his focus has been on managing the investment and distribution aspects of the Fund Solutions business. Navin has worked across various aspects of the value chain in the investment industry, serving on multiple investment and asset allocation committees. He started his career at UAL Merchant Bank and has worked for blue chip companies gaining a wealth of experience in stockbroking, multi management, portfolio management and research. Navin is passionate about investments and has a specific interest in the business aspects of investment management. He also has an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Ringetani Ndlovu Ashburton Investments

Ringetani joined Ashburton Investments as a Credit Analyst in 2018. She has experience in transaction structuring, feasibility studies, corporate valuations and due diligences for a range of corporates in South Africa and neighbouring countries. In her career she has been exposed to origination, structuring and fundamental analysis on a variety of sectors, from state-owned companies to developmental infrastructure projects. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Accounting Science from the University of Pretoria and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA).

Patrice Rassou Ashburton Investments

Patrice Rassou is the Chief Investment Officer at Ashburton Investments since 2020. He is responsible for the investment philosophy and investment process, and manages key funds in the Ashburton portfolio. He is a seasoned investment professional with three decades of experience, having worked for some of the most reputable local asset managers. Patrice is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BSc(Econ) First Class Honours, MSc (Economics) from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Manchester Business School. He is a regular investment and markets commentator in the media. Patrice is passionate about sustainable investing and studying the impact of technology on the world of work. Patrice is past treasurer of ABSIP Western Cape. Patrice is married and the proud father of three boys and a passionate Arsenal fan.
