Investing in credit

Craig Sherman is a Credit Fund Manager at Ashburton Investments with a focus on credit portfolio management and the development of credit-related fund solutions. Craig joined the company at the end of 2012 and has 15 years' experience in the fixed income and credit markets. He currently oversees Ashburton Investments' Credit Co-Investment Fund. Craig started his career in 2001 with RMB as a Risk Manager responsible for the fixed income desks within the Global Markets division. He then joined the Special Projects International division as a Fixed Income and Credit Trader. He left RMB in 2009 to pursue other interests, which included the establishment of the capital markets division for DG Capital, a boutique corporate adviser. He then moved on to found the Financial Products Division within Etana, a specialist short-term insurer operating in the commercial segment of the market. His qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Advanced Mathematics of Finance from the University of the Witwatersrand and the Financial Risk Manager's Qualification (FRM) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
