Ashburton MidCap ETF wins SALTA award

Ashburton Investments’ MidCap ETF has won a SALTA 2021 award for the most capital raised by a South African Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) over one year.

Now in its fourth year, the South African Listed Tracker Awards (SALTA) recognise ETF issuers for exceptional products provided to the South African markets.

The Ashburton MidCap ETF has proved popular in the past year because investors have upped their exposure to South African focused blue chip stocks as the economy started its recovery from lockdown. The Ashburton MidCap ETF is up 6% year to date.

The ETF invests in the companies represented by the FTSE/JSE Mid Cap Index with the aim to provide returns linked to the performance of the index. It has close on R500 million assets under management and its biggest holdings are Northam Platinum, Old Mutual, Clicks and Bidvest. It pays a quarterly dividend distribution to investors.

Ashburton Investments has now won three SALTA awards in total.*

Ashburton Investments ETFs are a convenient, cost-effective method to gain market exposure. Exchange Traded Funds are listed on the JSE and can be traded just like any other share through a stockbroker.
