Zandile joined Ashburton Investments’ Institutional Distribution team in 2016, bringing with her decades of experience in the industry, spanning business development, client relationship management, portfolio administration, market research and, more recently, information management. Much of her experience hinges on client relationship management and business development. Zandile holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Economics from the University of the Western Cape.

Murray Anderson is the Managing Director for our Retail Business and is responsible for the distribution and client engagement at Ashburton. Murray joined Ashburton Investments as a result of the acquisition of Atlantic Asset Management in 2016. Previously, he was the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Atlantic. Prior to Atlantic he held a number of senior distribution and marketing positions at Cadiz African Harvest, Old Mutual Asset Managers as well as RMB Asset Management and has served the industry in on a number of committees of the Association for Savings and Investment of South Africa over the years. He holds a B.Com Financial Management degree as well as a graduate diploma from the IMM and is a Certified Financial Planner.

Gordon is responsible for distributing Ashburton Investments’ solutions to clients in the institutional market. He joined the company in 2012, bringing with him a range of experience across securitisation, currency management, managing private client portfolios at Syfrets, offshore investment advice and private banking at Standard Bank. Prior to joining Ashburton Investments, Gordon spent 10 years with Stanlib Asset Management in a role that was similar, in many respects, to the one that he currently fulfils. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from the University of Texas at San Antonio, in the United States and a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State.

Kgothatso Nyabela is a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager within Ashburton Investments' Fixed Income Team. Kgothatso joined FirstRand Group in 2010 as a Technical Wealth Assistant, she later assumed the role of Performance Analyst gaining knowledge of all aspects relevant to performance measurement and reporting. She then became buy-side equity dealer trading mainly equities. Kgothatso joined Ashburton Investments in 2014 as a Fixed Income Dealer being responsible for risk monitoring and implementation within the team. Kgothatso graduated with her BCom (Hons) in Financial Economics and Investment Management from the University of the Free State.
